Milk should be kept at 41* F or less. Pastured cows produce milk which can have up to five times more conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). CLA is a type of fat that may prove to be one of our most potent cancer fighters and is not found in a grain-fed cow's milk. Milk from pastured cows contains an ideal ratio of essential fatty acids (Omega-6 and Omega-3) and has higher protein. Pastured milk will look a little more yellow than conventional milk due to higher levels of beta carotene, another good side effect of cows eating a grass-fed diet.
